COOKIES POLICY
This website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the proper operation of procedures and improve the user experience of online applications. This document provides detailed information on the use of cookies and similar technologies and describes how they are used and how to manage them.

DEFINITIONS
Cookies are short fragments of text (letters and/or numbers) that allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same visit to the site (session cookies) or later, even after days (persistent cookies). According to user preferences, cookies are stored by the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smartphone). Similar technologies, such as, for instance, web beacons, transparent GIFs and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to collect information on user behaviour and use of services.
Hereinafter we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies by simply using the term “cookies”.

TYPES OF COOKIES
Depending on the characteristics and use of cookies, we can distinguish different categories: Strictly necessary cookies. These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the site and are used to manage login and access to the site’s reserved functions. The duration of cookies is strictly limited to the work session (they are deleted when the browser is closed). They are used on the site.
Analysis and performance cookies. These cookies are used to collect and analyse site traffic and usage anonymously. These cookies, even without identifying the user, make it possible, for example, to detect whether the same user returns to the website at different times. They also allow to monitor the system and improve its performance and usability. These cookies can be disabled without losing any functionality.
Profiling cookies. These are permanent cookies used to identify (anonymously or not) the user’s preferences and improve their browsing experience.

THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
When visiting a website you may receive cookies either from the site you visit (“owners”) or from sites operated by other organisations (“third parties”). A clear example is the presence of “social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn. These are parts of the visited page generated directly by these sites which are integrated into the page of the host site. The most common use of social plugins is sharing content on social networks.
The integration of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites operated by third parties. The handling of information collected by “third parties” is governed by the relevant policies that are specified herein. To provide greater transparency and convenience, the web addresses of these different policies and cookie management methods are detailed below.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS
This website also incorporates certain components transmitted by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). These are also third-party cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the host site (performance cookies).
Google Analytics uses “cookies” to anonymously collect and analyse information on site usage behaviour (including the user’s IP address). This information is collected by Google Analytics, which processes it for compiling reports on website activity available to site operators. This site does not use (and does not allow third parties to use) Google’s analytics tool to monitor or collect personally identifiable information. Google does not associate the IP address with any other data held by Google nor does it attempt to link an IP address with the identity of a user. Google may also disclose this information to third parties if required by law or when such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

The user can choose to disable Google Analytics by installing the opt-out browser add-on provided by Google. To disable Google Analytics, please visit the link below: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

DURATION OF COOKIES
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or when the logout command is executed. Other cookies “survive” when the browser is closed and are also available on subsequent visits by the user.
These are called persistent cookies and their duration is set by the server when they are created. In some cases an expiry date is set, in others the duration is unlimited. However, when browsing the pages of this website, you may interact with other sites operated by third parties that may create or change permanent and profiling cookies.

COOKIE MANAGEMENT
Users can decide whether or not to accept cookies on their browser settings.
Warning: total or partial disabling of technical cookies may affect the use of the site’s features reserved for registered users. On the other hand, public content can be freely accessed even if cookies are completely disabled. Disabling “third-party” cookies does not affect site navigation in any way. These setting can be defined specifically for different sites and web applications. Moreover, most browsers allow different settings for “proprietary” and “third-party” cookies.
As an example, in Firefox, through the menu Tools->Options->Privacy, it is possible to access a control panel where you can define whether or not to accept different types of cookies and/or delete them.
