It is highly recommended to use a rubber dam when performing dental restorations. This is to avoid contamination of the operating field and increase patient safety.

The thickness of the anterior matrix Unica anterior is 0.03mm.
The use of myCustom Resin is recommended for fixing Unica anterior when it is not possible to adapt the matrix with interdental wedges. For example, in the case of a class III cavity adjacent to the cervical area of the tooth, the interdental wedge would risk deforming and/or moving the matrix (fig. 1). Therefore, the use of myCustom Resin is recommended in this case (fig.2).
We recommend using myCustom Resin as it features the ideal thixotropy and light-curing time to optimise the procedure.
According to the cleaning and sterilization guides, all detachable components of the devices must be disassembled. The myTines must be removed from the ring.
No, tests have shown that the force of myClip 2.0 would not vary for at least 300 usage cycle.
The matrix should be “smiling”. It should be used with the extremities facing upwards. (Like the letter U).
No, they are autoclavable, sterilisable and interchangeable.
myTines have been developed not to break easily and resist multiple uses. However, the plastic material has a limited life cycle, which is why they can be replaced.
Stainless steel with surface colouring treatment.
No, only the tines are made of plastic while the ring body is made of stainless steel with a surface colouring treatment.
Matrices are always single-use since they are shaped on a case by case basis. Moreover, in case of steel matrices, they can lose their shape during extraction.
No, however thanks to the very high quality of the steel used to produce our matrices, the extremely smooth surface prevents the adhesion of composite / glass-ionomer to the matrix.
The curved and anatomical shape of the sectional matrices, in combination with the clamping action of the ring, allows for an optimal reproduction of the original proximal anatomy of the contact point.
Yes, the strength of the myRing Forte is sufficient for a proper teeth separation, allowing to compensate the thickness of two matrices – However in this case we recommend the use of ultrafine matrices with a thickness of only 0.025mm – Moreover, the design of the tines makes it possible to clamp the matrix in an optimal way both on the mesial and distal walls.
According to the cleaning and sterilization guides, all detachable components of the devices must be disassembled. The myTines must be removed from the ring.
Should myRing Forte deforms due to incorrect use, it can be reconditioned using the special ring notches on the forceps myForceps.
Yes, the double spring geometry of myRing Forte has been studied specifically to retain the separation force and avoid the deformation of the ring.
Yes, you can use myRing Forte for MOD cavity restorations. The geometry of the sectional system has been specially developed to allow the use of two rings at the same time.
The matrix should be “smiling”. It should be used with the extremities facing upwards. (Like the letter U).
The tests show a resistance of the material of about 50 autoclave cycles. However, it depends on the way in which they are used.

Autoclavable thermoplastic polymer.

The myRing Classico ring is made of Nickel Titanium. This material allows myRing Classico to feature an outstanding elastic memory. Therefore, it cannot be permanently deformed even in case of excessive opening and it will always return to its original shape.
Yes, you can use myRing Classico for MOD cavity restorations. The ring and the tines’ geometry has been specially developed to allow the use of two rings at the same time.
According to the cleaning and sterilization guides, all detachable components of the devices must be disassembled. The ring extremities must be removed from the ring.

Nickel titanium with autoclavable thermoplastic over-moulding polymer.

We have paediatric sectional matrices that are 0.04mm thick and 3.75mm high. These junior sectional matrices are available in both Quickmat and LumiContrast versions.
The wedge should be broken to achieve better matrix adaptation when using silicone tubes.
myForceps was developed especially for Polydentia’s sectional matrix systems and its use with our rings is strongly recommended. Other forceps cannot guarantee the right fit and strength to operate our rings.
The dark-blue colouring develops better contrast between the cavity and matrix. This makes it easier to identify the operating area and the low reflection reduces eye fatigue, especially when using microscopes or loupes.
The dark blue colouring also allows the thickness of the reconstructed proximal wall to be evaluated. The thickness of the reconstructed wall is ideal when the matrix is no longer visible through the composite.
No, as this is not a coating but a surface modification of the steel surface.
Yes, the hollow geometry allows the use of two stacked myWedge for a better cervical adaptation of the matrix, if the clinical situation so requires.
myWedge is a plastic v-shape, compressible, hollow wegde which allows to gently adapt the matrix to the tooth and does not perform an orthodontic action. For this reason, myWedge should be used with myRing Forte since the separating action is already produced by the ring.
Instead, wooden wedges should be used with myRing Classico and myClip 2.0, as they provide the separation force needed to perform the restoration
Yes, Vista-Tec laStoria and Vista-Tec ilGrande are CE certified according to EN 166:2001 and Regulation (EU) 2016/425. This means that the system has passed rigorous safety, optical quality and stability tests, according to the related European Quality Standard.
In addition, Vista-Tec ilGrande is also CE certified as “splash-proof” against liquid splashes according to the relative European Certifying Standard.
The frame of Vista-Tec ilGrande (black frame), along with the headband and the buckle can be autoclaved with a standard 134˚ 20-minute prion cycle. Do not autoclave the shields.
A Vista-Tec shield can be used as long as it allows optimal vision. Please refer to the Instructions for Use for optimal maintenance.
Vista-Tec shields can be cleaned as you would any other optical protective device: place the shield under a stream of lukewarm water and deterge using a lotion-free dish soap solution. Then rinse with warm water, and dry with a clean, soft cotton or microfiber cloth.
They can be disinfected using common mild alcohol-based disinfectants.
For more information, please read our Vista-Tec instruction for use.
