Polydentia launches myQuickmat hoop:

circumferential control you can count on

Circumferential matrix systems continue to play an important role in Class II restorations. While sectional systems have gained popularity in recent years, circumferential matrices still account for approximately 30% of the global market* and remain a trusted choice, particularly in public health and high-volume clinical settings.

We explored solutions from every angle—360° around the globe 😉—to find a circumferential matrix system that combines reliability with exceptional ease of use and intuitive handling.

The result is myQuickmat Hoop:

a system that preserves the familiar placement workflow of a Tofflemire retainer, while eliminating many of its traditional constraints. With easy placement, anatomical contours, a compact design, hard foil and full swivelling capability, myQuickmat Hoop sets a new benchmark for modern circumferential matrix band systems.

The myQuickmat Hoop system consists of regular and tabbed preloaded circumferential matrices (Quickmat Hoop), an instrument (myHooper) and plastic wedges (myHoopy wedges), which are useful for stabilising the matrices.

Advantages:

  • Easy placement similar to a Tofflemire retainer, but without its drawbacks
  • Detachable instrument for fast placement, tightening and adjustment
  • Anatomically contoured band for leak-free margins and natural restorations
  • Compact design that is ideal for tight spaces, including second and third molars
  • 35-micron hard contoured foil: strong, shape-retentive and passes tight contacts easily
  • Colour-coded adjustable plastic retainer that stays secure without loosening
  • Swivelling retainer arm for use in any quadrant

Quickmat Hoop preloaded circumferential matrices are available regular and tabbed, in two circumferential sizes and three height options (5.5, 6.5, 8.0mm):
• The Large size is primarily designed for molars.
• The Small size is suitable for both premolars and smaller molars.

The tabbed matrices with Control Hoop Tabs are specifically designed to facilitate reliable tight contacts in large multi-surface composite restorations.

In addition to the matrix refills, the myQuickmat Hoop line includes a kit containing a selection of 40 regular and tabbed matrices, two instruments and a pack of 100 mixed plastic myHoopy wedges, which are useful for stabilising the matrices.

The myQuickmat Hoop range is available for sale in the EU, the UK and Switzerland.
