Introducing the new myQuickmat Prime

the new sectional matrix system with integrated wedges

Most clinicians complain that reconstructing a satisfactory proximal direct posterior restoration can be a challenging, time-consuming and often financially unrewarding procedure.

Sectional matrix systems are the preferred option when treating Class II posterior cavities. However, they are technique sensitive, which can be a barrier to implementation for inexperienced users.

Polydentia is proud to announce the launch of myQuickmat Prime, the new sectional matrix system designed to simplify the overall restoration process and reduce chair time by ensuring an adequate interdental anatomy.

The system is a clear example of uncompromising simplicity consisting of a separation ring (myRing Prime), a ring extremity with integrated wedge (myTines Prime) and a contoured matrix for both premolars and molars (Quickmat Prime anatomical sectional matrix).

The removal of the wedge as part of the restorative procedure makes the system simpler, faster and smarter than traditional sectional matrix systems. It reduces operating time and wedge waste1 without compromising on performance. In short, it takes away the stress!

The stainless steel myRing Prime is bent so as not to interfere with the adjacent teeth, While myTines Prime, with its reusable and autoclavable wedge-shaped extremities (or 🦩 flamingo-shaped extremities 🦩 😉), provides efficient bilateral separation on adjacent teeth by ensuring optimal cervical sealing and matrix adaptation on both molars and premolars and between premolars and molars. Its self-centring ability makes it extremely easy to place as the bilateral wedges naturally guide insertion with little to no risk of misplacement. The head of the extremity adapts the matrix to ensure correct proximal curvature towards the marginal ridge. Overall, the design of the ring + extremities duo prevents the ring from slipping out of the proximal area, as can happen with other rings (the wedges keep it firmly in place).

The system also comprises the rigid and easy to burnish Quickmat Prime anatomical sectional matrices, available in one thickness (0.04 mm) and one shape for both premolars and molars. The matrix has an incremented contour from cervical to occlusal in comparison to other matrices, which allows accurate positioning of the contact point close to the equator and a natural curved anatomy. The central upper tab makes the matrix easy to position with or without myQuickmatrix Forceps or tweezers with angled tips.

Polydentia’s myQuickmat Prime does not compromise on efficiency or performance: the result is an easier and more natural restoration of the proximal anatomy.

advantages:

  • simplified posterior system that reduces chair time
  • self-centring wedge-shaped extremities: naturally guide insertion, ensuring effective bilateral separation of the adjacent teeth with optimal matrix adaptation and cervical seal
  • ring stability: prevents the ring from slipping out
  • matrix contoured from cervical to occlusal allows accurate positioning of the contact point close to the equator
  • no compromise on efficiency or performance: the result is an easier and more natural restoration of the proximal anatomy
